A bronze prostitute made by erotic artist Manfred Holz out of respect and as a figurehead for sex workers and LGBTI+ #Alkmaar
The sculpture of Susanne was made by the German artist Manfred Holz, commissioned by Cor Ootes.
He owns premises in the prostitution street on the Achterdam. The intention was to place the voluptuous statue as a crowd puller at the Achterdam, but local politics put a stop to that. To this day, the statue has not yet had a permanent place in a public place in Alkmaar. Of course we will keep you informed if this ever changes in the future.
